Seminar Preparation _WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO PREPARE BEFORE YOU COME?
Section 2 (Step 1) of the Preparation Instructions document should be completed before coming to Australia. Page 5 of the document provides details on what is expected from the teacher and each of the students.
This document sets out the requirements for participating teachers and students BEFORE their arrival in Brisbane as well as giving an outline of the seminars. For the seminars to be worthwhile, it is VITAL that the preparation is completed so we ask that you read through the document as soon as possible and let us know if you have any questions or would like any further advice.
Teacher responsibility during World School
Whilst the host school, St Paul's and the various venues will have staff capable of administering First Aid, none of these staff will take responsibility for giving students any medication. If students need headache tablets or medicine for a cold, their accompanying teacher will be responsible for taking the decision to administer any such medicine. If not, the student will have to be taken to a doctor's surgery. Again, St Paul 's School or World School staff will not administer any medication.
What Can't We Take Into Australia?
Australia has one of the strictest quarantine regimes in the world. For example, you cannot bring in any foodstuffs or any wooden products. Please click on the following link to read the quarantine regulations.

It will be covered with a cloth that could be used to pin on posters or knickknacks. It is 73cm off the ground. The display board is 2metres X 1 metre.
Performance
Remember ? If you require any accompanying music for your School's performance, please save it digitally so that we can make a CD of all the music required for the performances. The digital recording will be required on the first day of World School International Forum 2006. |
